Drame à l’Hôpital Général: Me André Michel pointe des responsabilités partagées
Me André Michel, leader du Secteur Démocratique et Populaire, estime que la responsabilité de la tragédie du 24 décembre 2024 à l’Hôpital Général ne peut être imputée uniquement au ministre de la Santé publique. Il met également en cause le rôle préventif de la Police nationale et le choix de son successeur.
Dans un message publié sur la plateforme X, Me André Michel a pris position sur la gestion de la tragédie survenue le 24 décembre 2024 à l’Hôpital Général. Selon lui, il serait injuste de tenir uniquement le ministre de la Santé publique responsable de cet événement tragique.
Le leader politique a souligné que le leadership de la Police nationale aurait dû, dans un rôle préventif, alerter les autorités étatiques des potentielles conséquences de la décision précipitée prise par le ministère de la Santé publique et de la Population. Pour Me Michel, ce manque de proactivité représente une grave faille dans l’exercice des responsabilités de l’institution policière.
Par ailleurs, Me Michel a critiqué la décision de désigner le ministre de la Justice comme remplaçant du ministre de la Santé publique. « On ne remplace pas un ministre fautif par un ministre mis en cause », a-t-il déclaré, rappelant que le ministre de la Justice est également le ministre de tutelle de la Police nationale.
Cette prise de position de Me André Michel relance le débat sur la gestion de crise et les responsabilités des dirigeants dans des événements majeurs. Alors que les tensions politiques persistent, les attentes restent élevées pour une gouvernance plus rigoureuse et transparente en Haïti.
